A research team led by Dr. Kim Innes, a professor in the West Virginia University School of Public Health, has found that a simple meditation or music listening program may alter certain biomarkers of cellular aging and Alzheimer’s Disease in older adults who are experiencing memory loss.
CPC Director, Dr. Stephenie Kennedy-Rea, Receives the Order of the Bell Award from State Cancer Coalition
Dr. Stephenie Kennedy-Rea was awarded the Order of the Bell from the state’s Mountains of Hope (MOH) Cancer Coalition. The Order of the Bell draws upon the concept of Chuck Yeager’s Bell X-1 aircraft that he flew when he broke the sound barrier. The recipients of this award are breaking barriers in public health and creating “a call to action.”
