Educational seminars on heart transplantation to be held on Aug. 21
The WVU Medicine Transplant Alliance is hosting seven one-hour educational sessions on heart transplantation, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the Bruce McClymonds Conference Center (Room A), located on the first floor of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute.

Video visits one of several free care options for employees enrolled in WVU Medicine medical plan
If you’re unsure about making a visit to urgent care and don’t have time to schedule an appointment with your provider, a video visit could be the perfect solution. Video visits are available for patients (children and adults) who are enrolled in a WVU Medicine medical plan and who are in West Virginia at the time of service. During a video visit, the patient can use MyWVUChart to meet face-to-face with a representative from Family Medicine for acute, non-emergent, primary care needs, including coughs, colds, rashes, aches, and pains. Using a tablet, smart phone, or computer equipped with internet access and web camera, the patient can see a healthcare provider from home, work, or nearly any location in between. This service is FREE.
Breast Care Center extends hours for mammograms on Mondays through August
The WVU Cancer Institute's Betty Puskar Breast Care Center is extending its hours for mammogram screenings on Mondays through August.
