Dental school department chair named president-elect of international endodontic confederation
Dr. Samuel Dorn, Chair of the Department of Endodontics at the dental school, is the President-elect for the Asian-Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC).
WVU Foundation features dental school donors who support renovation plans
School of Dentistry Alumni Association Board of Governors members donated $125,000 to support Transforming Oral Health: The Campaign for Facilities, a $15 million fundraising effort to support multiphase facility upgrades at the School. Members Michael George, DDS, and Loring Ross, DDS, made individual donations – $25,000 and $150,000, respectively.
Limited scholarships available for dental school tobacco treatment training program
To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must be a member of Mountains of Hope. Memberships is free. Applicants can obtain membership online and also apply for the scholarship online.

The 1980 graduate of the School of Dentistry comes from a four-generation family of dentists. His grandfather graduated from Case Western University School of Dentistry in 1899.
Endodontist chosen as WVU dental school distinguished alumnus
Dr. Hildebrand is a native West Virginian. His early education was in his hometown, Oak Hill. He attended West Virginia Institute of Technology before attending dental school at WVU in Morgantown.

In-person event to celebrate orthodontics department anniversary
The WVU School of Dentistry will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Department of Orthodontics on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at the Marriott Conference Center, Morgantown, WV. The event will include a day-long continuing education course followed by a reception and dinner.
