Dental hygiene graduate honored by dental school alumni
Karen Avey has been a practicing dental hygienist for 39 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1984 from West Virginia University School of Dentistry and began practicing clinical dental hygiene.

Senior DDS student presents research at national level
Fourth-year DDS student Wijdan Dabeek, of Morgantown, was the dental school’s 2022 winner in the Student Competition for Advancing Dental Research which qualified her for registration and a trip to Portland, OR, for the American Dental Association of Dental and Oral and Craniofacial Research.
