Opportunity for Students: Community Service Hours
The WV Balance of State is requesting volunteers for the Point in Time count taking place in Monongalia and Preston Counties Tuesday, Jan. 25 through Wednesday, Jan. 26. The purpose of the WVCEH Point-in-Time (PIT Count) is to obtain a snapshot census of people experiencing homelessness in your community on one night in January.
WVU Medicine updates masking policy
Based on updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about masking, WVU Medicine is strongly encouraging non-clinical staff who do not work in patient care areas to switch to a medical-grade mask and not use cloth masks.
HSC update: Student Activity Center to be closed
The Student Activity Center will be closed beginning Friday, January 21, to be used for N-95 mask fit testing for three weeks. An announcement will be released when the center is set to reopen for student use.
Online program can help nurses learn how to promote holistic health in faith-based communities
West Virginia University School of Nursing is offering “Foundations of Faith Community Nursing” — an online continuing professional development course for individuals interested in helping to address the unique health-related needs within faith community settings.
