Medication disposal protects public health
On Friday, November 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the campus community is invited to stop by the Mountainlair near Hatfield’s to safely dispose of unwanted medications. On Saturday, November 21 from 12:00-4:00 p.m., residence hall students living on the Evansdale campus are invited to leave unwanted medications at the MedSafe kiosk under the Towers canopy.

WVU, CDC report mask observation results for week five in the midst of COVID-19 resurgence
The School of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released findings for week five of their seven-week mask observation study. It comes at a time when masks are more crucial than ever as COVID-19 cases surge in West Virginia and throughout the country and the state adjusts to Governor Justice's Executive Order mandating the use of face coverings in all public indoor places.

Virtual mindfulness holiday workshops begin Nov. 30
Equip yourself this holiday season with a toolbox of mindful techniques designed to help transition more gracefully into the winter months. Led by clinical therapist Laurel Faulkenberry and yoga/stress management specialist Nicole Gauthier-Schatz, this three-part workshop series will teach participants a balanced mindfulness routine consisting of meditation, yoga, breathing, and mindful affirmations.
Second virtual forum scheduled for persons of color, underrepresented minorities
The Health Sciences Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council invites all faculty, residents/fellows and students who identify as a person of color or an underrepresented minority to join a virtual forum Monday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. The forum is designed to promote connectivity among the Health Sciences community across schools, departments, disciplines and career stages.
