According to a recent study by John Hopkins University, 1 in 500 Americans have died from coronavirus since the nation’s first reported infection. Think about that for a second and after you do check how many friends you have on Facebook, Twitter, etc and see what that would equate to for you. Reminder: Save a Life Day set for Saturday, Sept. 25
Save a Life Day will take place Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 13 different locations in Monongalia County. During the event, Monongalia County Quick Response Team (QRT) members will offer free naloxone administration training.

WVU Board of Governors applauds administration’s handling of COVID-19 pandemic on campus
Members of the West Virginia University Board of Governors indicated their support of the administration’s handling thus far of issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic after hearing an update on campus data and protocols from Vice President for Strategic Initiatives Rob Alsop during Friday’s (Sept. 17) meeting.

On Friday (Sept. 17), West Virginia had the highest transmission rate of COVID-19 in the country. If we were a country, our transmission rate was the highest in the world.
