HSCommunity: ENGAGE / Let's Learn from One Another

Your personal experiences and circumstances matter. Below, we're asking you to share your experiences and attitudes towards a health-related situation. Once we gather your anonymous responses, we will share these experiences with our community in a future message, so we can learn and grow together.

SAVE THE DATE: Undergraduate Senior Showcase

All WVU School of Public Health faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to participate in the Fall 2021 Senior Showcase. Our 18 graduating Bachelor of Science in Public Health students will be presenting posters reflecting on their public health field experience and connections to program skills and knowledge. This semester, students have worked with agencies or programs such as the Accountable Health Communities Program, Community Education Group, Monongalia County Health Department, WV Prevention Research Center, Think Kids WV and several more.

Community partnership provides strong foundation for Public Health students

When Annie McVey and Katerina Cleaver submitted their West Virginia University admission applications, “public health” wasn’t really on their respective radars. Seemingly on different journeys to becoming a nurse and doctor, respectively, the two undergraduates would soon cross paths and end up navigating their first jobs together.
