West Virginia University alumni, friends and students are invited to come together March 9 in support of the University’s fifth Day of Giving. The 24-hour online fundraising event, organized by the WVU Foundation, has benefited many top priorities, including life-changing scholarships, groundbreaking research and lasting improvements to campus.

Front-line health workers, law enforcement invited to free mindfulness-based resilience training
West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in partnership with West Virginia University’s Office of Health Affairs, Marshall University and Mindful Badge training facilitators are recruiting 200 front-line health workers and law enforcement personnel from West Virginia to participate in Mindfulness-Based Resilience Training.
Community Notice: WVU to adjust in-person class schedule, operations Friday, Feb. 4
In-person classes with a start time prior to 10 a.m. are canceled on West Virginia University’s Morgantown campus Friday, Feb. 4, due to anticipated inclement weather and worsening road conditions. WVU Health Sciences faculty, staff and students who are working in patient care areas or in clinical rotations should check with their dean, program director or clinic manager.

There were more than 580,000 people experiencing homelessness in the United States in 2020. That number is precise because each year, the federal government requires all states, including West Virginia, to count the number of people experiencing homelessness on a single night.
