Public Health students volunteer during poverty simulation to facilitate deeper understanding of health disparities
An ongoing collaboration with Martin Hall Agency has given West Virginia University School of Public Health undergraduate students an opportunity to see firsthand how social determinants of health can contribute to widespread inequality.
Academic Transformation Campus Conversation to focus on budget model
The Office of the Provost will continue its monthly Campus Conversations focused on academic transformation topics and initiatives to engage the wider University community in dialogue about these efforts. The third session, “Academic Transformation: University Budget Model,” is scheduled for Thursday, March 10, at 11 a.m.
Support for students affected by conflict
The WVU Health Sciences community includes students, faculty and staff with ties to various regions of the world. Events happening across the globe can bring about mixed emotions and affect our mental health and well-being. Conflict can have a traumatic impact on us, even when not physically present or directly involved. The BeWell team extends their support for students impacted by current and past unrest, and they are available to support students navigate unsettling times.

WVU to host pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Mountainlair, March vaccine and testing clinic schedule announced
To accommodate students, faculty and staff who reside, attend classes or work on the Downtown campus, WVU will host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic in partnership with the Monongalia County Health Department Wednesday, March 2, in the Mountainlair. WVU and the Monongalia County Health Department also will continue to host weekly COVID-19 vaccine clinics and free community COVID-19 testing at the Student Recreation Center throughout March.
