WVU HSC Pilot Grants
Pilot Grants through the HSC Office of Research and Graduate Education (ORGE) provide funding for HSC faculty to explore a new research area and collect preliminary data for a grant submission. Pilot grants should be considered seed funding, and thus there is a clear expectation of conversion to extramural support.
HSC Multi-Investigator Synergy Grant
The Office of Research and Graduate Education (ORGE) plans to fund Synergy Grants to encourage and support the development of collaborative, large grant applications.
**Current application period has closed. Thank you to all applicants. Our office will announce the next application period when available**
WVU HSC Bridge Funding Grants (BFGs)
Bridge Funding Grants (BFGs) are intended to provide temporary support to continue operations of investigators whose extramural funding is ending. This program provides funds from the WVU HSC Office of Research and Graduate Education.
WVCTSI Funding Opportunities
The Pilot Projects Program provides a mechanism for soliciting and awarding clinical, translational, and community engagement projects, to help take projects from concept to being considered competitive for external funding. The primary goal of the pilot funding mechanism is to increase the number of clinical and translational investigators who are positioned to secure extramural funding.
Other Funding Opportunities
WVU Research Corporation Investment in Research Stimulation
The WVU Research Office offers the PSCoR (Program to Stimulate Competitive Research). The primary intent for these funds is to increase faculty competitiveness in obtaining extramural research support, i.e., to support efforts that lead to proposal submission and external funding that will ultimately advance the WVU research enterprise.
