West Virginia University Health Sciences is recognizing individuals and teams with Chancellor’s Awards, for their significant contributions to its mission.
A ceremony to honor the 2024-2025 award winners will be held Thursday, Oct. 2nd at 4 p.m. in the Pylons Commons.
Each year, the Chancellor’s Awards honor faculty and staff who have been recognized by their peers for their outstanding accomplishments. Winners were nominated by their peers and selected by their respective achievement award committees.
Faculty Awards
Outstanding Achievement in Teaching: David Rasicci, PhD
This award recognizes faculty for outstanding achievement in advancing the teaching mission of WVU Health Sciences.
Outstanding Achievement in Research: F. Heath Damron, PhD
This award recognizes faculty for outstanding achievements in research, scholarship or creative activities.
Outstanding Achievement in Local or Regional Service: Jonathan Perle, PhD
This award recognizes faculty for outstanding achievement in advancing the service mission of WVU Health Sciences at the local or regional level.
Outstanding Achievement in National or International Service: Lisa Costello, MD, MPH
This award recognizes faculty for significant contributions that advance WVU Health Sciences’ mission nationally or internationally.
Oustanding Achievement in Mentor Award: Bingyun Li, PhD
This award recognizes faculty who have provided outstanding mentorship to students or to faculty colleagues within WVU Health Sciences.
