WVU School of Nursing offering Transitional Care Training for the Faith Community Nurse

The WVU School of Nursing is now offering Transitional Care Training for the Faith Community Nurse. The course is designed to provide the faith community nurse with background knowledge on the needs of community members who are in the process of transitioning in care. 

Transitioning in care may include from the hospital to home, from the hospital to the nursing home, from the hospital to home with hospice and many other transitional times. The course uses the national Transitional Care Training Program through the Westberg Institute.

Application for 15 contact hours has been made to the West Virginia University School of Nursing, Charleston Division. WVUSON-Charleston Division is an approved provider of continuing education for Registered Professional Nurses by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses (WVBRN registration number: 50-26106).
