Congratulations to Dr. John Bishara of the West Virginia University’s School of Medicine Charleston Campus Department of Pediatrics on passing his American Board of Pediatrics’ Pulmonology boards. Dr. Bishara joined the Pediatrics Department on September 1, 2018, after completing his Pediatric Sleep Medicine training at University of Southern California/Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He previously completed his Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship at NYU-Winthrop Hospital.

Dr. Bishara joins Dr. Kevin Maupin in the WVU Charleston Campus’s Pediatric Pulmonology section in providing academic support to the WVU medical clerkships and CAMC residency programs, as well as patient care in the WVU Physicians of Charleston Pediatric Specialists office.

“We are proud of Dr. Bishara’s accomplishment,” said Raheel Khan, MD, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at West Virginia University’s School of Medicine Charleston Campus. “Dr. Bishara and Dr. Maupin are excellent teachers and will also be providing care for patients with a wide variety of pulmonary and sleep problems.”
