SBS department to welcome new faculty members

The Department of Social and Behavioral Science welcomes new members to their team this fall.

Danielle Davidov, PhD (WVU, 2010), is joining the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences as an assistant professor on August 16. Dr. Davidov has held a primary faculty appointment in the Department of Emergency Medicine and a secondary faculty appointment in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences since 2013. This announcement changes Dr. Davidov’s primary faculty appointment to the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences while she will continue to retain a secondary appointment with the Department of Emergency Medicine. During her tenure, Dr. Davidov has conducted all her teaching in the School of Public Health, and her research involves utilizing qualitative and mixed methods to address intimate partner and sexual violence in home visitation, healthcare, and college settings. We look forward to Dr. Davidov’s continuing significant contributions to the mission of the School of Public Health.

Elizabeth Claydon, PhD, MPH, is joining the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences as an assistant professor on August 16. Dr. Claydon completed her MPH at the Yale University School of Public Health and is a 2018 graduate of our School’s PhD program in Social and Behavioral Sciences. A Morgantown native, Dr. Claydon’s research agenda is in the prevention of eating disorders and obesity, particularly in their intergenerational transmission, in addition to maternal and child health and suicide prevention. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Claydon to the faculty.
