Dr. Christiaan Abildso, assistant professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the WVU School of Public Health and HRC Director of Research and Evaluation, was a collaborator on a recently released report discussing pedestrian injuries. Dr. Abildso crafted the report with other members of the Injury and Surveillance Workgroup (ISW8), a multidisciplinary group comprised of experts who provide recommendations for improvements to public health injury surveillance practices. The group is convened by the Safe States Alliance.

The ISW8 report, Consensus Recommendations for Pedestrian Injury Surveillance, provides practitioners with recommendations for  improving pedestrian injury surveillance, data analysis and reporting methods.
