Delta Sigma Delta Give Back A Smile 5K

Give Back A Smile 5K was started back in 2012 to benefit the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation’s (AACDCF) Give Back a Smile Program (GBAS). According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, it is estimated that there are 24 men and women who will become a victim every minute. 12 million women and men will fall victims every year. GBAS assists victims of domestic and sexual violence in rebuilding the lives and dignity of survivors through compassionate cosmetic dental services and support programs. Bruises and scars may fade, but teeth cannot repair on their own. The program provides restorative and cosmetic dentistry in the smile zone at no cost to qualified survivors through the nationwide network of volunteer cosmetic dentists and support team of laboratories and dental manufacturers. By restoring a smile, you can restore a life. Monetary donations to the GBAS program are used to pay for travel experiences, lab fees, clothing, as well as scholarships for patients trying to return to school.
