Engage with the community through OLLI at WVU
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at WVU is seeking volunteer instructors and presenters for its spring 2022 term, which runs April 10 through June 3.
HSC Zoom will require Single Sign-on and Multifactor Authentication starting Jan. 5
Effective Jan. 5, 2022, HSC-ITS will be implementing single sign-on and multifactor authentication for all HSC Zoom accounts. All users will use their WVU or WVUM Login credentials when logging in Zoom. This change will not affect users who do not have a Zoom account and only function as a meeting participant.

WVU Health Sciences Center lab-based research teams sustained progress even during the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic
Despite the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, West Virginia University Health Sciences Center labs were largely able to stay open and functional, allowing critical research to continue. Not only were researchers able to continue their work during the pandemic, but there was actually an increase in research productivity.

Answering the call: WVU School of Nursing guides West Virginia through nursing staff shortages during COVID-19
Since the pandemic gained momentum, the demands on nurses have never been greater. Larger patient to staff ratios, nurses contracting the virus themselves, and workforce burnout exacerbated an already existing nursing shortage. As the need in West Virginia grew, WVU School of Nursing Dean Tara Hulsey and her team quickly developed a plan to meet the state’s nursing demands — giving students and faculty the opportunity to put their skills to work.
