Thursday's home football game will affect patient, visitor, employee parking on campus

WVU hosts Baylor for the third game on its home schedule for the 2022 football season Thursday, Oct. 13. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Home football games disrupt normal parking and driving patterns on the WVU Medicine and WVU Health Sciences Center campus for employees, patients, and visitors. Facilities impacted include J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Medicine Children’s, the WVU Cancer Institute, the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center and Emergency Department, the Physician Office Center, and the WVU Eye Institute.

All parking in front of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital will be restricted as of 4 p.m. Thursday. All staff are required to park at Mountaineer 2 garage or the Research Park after 4 p.m. Shuttle service will run from the Research Park through the night as it normally does on Thursdays.

The Security Department has provided printable pamphlets for patients and visitors, as well as employees, faculty, and residents. A printable map is available for patients leaving WVU Medicine facilities on game days.

Employees who are working at the Operations Support Center will have parking available in the lower lot.

Employees with questions can contact the Security Department at 74444 or 74029.
