Students invited to the School of Public Health's "Figure It Out Friday" on Feb. 24

“Figure It Out Friday” is a recurring series of 30-60-minute Zoom conversations for public health students at West Virginia University. The overall purpose of “Figure It Out Friday” is to allow successful public health professionals to help our students learn more about current public health issues, career pathways, essential job skills and much more.

This month's "Figure It Out Friday" will feature a presentation from WVU School of Public Health alumna Krista Farley. Farley is currently working as a Regional Communications Officer at the American Red Cross.

The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The American Red Cross, through its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners, is always there in times of need. They aspire to turn compassion into action so that all people affected by disaster across the country and around the world receive care, shelter and hope; communities are ready and prepared for disasters; everyone in our country has access to safe, lifesaving blood and blood products; all members of our armed services and their families find support and comfort whenever needed; and in an emergency, there are always trained individuals nearby, ready to use their Red Cross skills to save lives.

This fun and exciting event will take place via Zoom on Friday, February 24 from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.. Those interested in attending need to use the Zoom link to confirm your online registration. Please note that registration is required to attend.
