STEPS to provide training during Healthcare Simulation Week, Sept. 18-22

The West Virginia University David and Jo Ann Shaw Center for Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety (STEPS) will host Healthcare Simulation Week Monday, Sept. 18 through Friday, Sept. 22.

Healthcare Simulation Week is a nationally-celebrated event that focuses on the importance of simulation education for students and professionals to provide the best patient care.

STEPS provides training opportunities and continuing education for life-saving procedures, developing interprofessional communication skills and using new technologies before practicing in patient care environments. These opportunities are available in all WVU Health Sciences schools as well as other programs across the University.

This year’s event will be hosted in person at the Health Sciences Center. Sessions are open to all WVU faculty and staff.
