SOLE, other important systems, services inaccessible 4 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 12

Faculty, staff and students will be unable to log into many important systems and services requiring WVU Login credentials from 4 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 12 during critical updates to the single sign-on system.

Impacted systems and services:

  • SOLE;
  • Portal;
  • STAR (Banner) and STAR-related systems;
  • eCampus (Blackboard);
  • MAP and Applaud;
  • Salesforce;
  • High Performance Computing;
  • Kuali (WVU+kc);
  • WVUHire (Taleo);
  • Mountaineer Marketplace;
  • MyExpenses (Chrome River);
  • InCommon Federated Services, UKG (formerly UltiPro);
  • FTP and bulk mailing services such as LISTSERV.

The IT ticketing system, Jira Service Management, also will be unavailable, and the IT Help Center at it.wvu.edu/help will have limited functionality during this time. The login.wvu.edu self-service site will also be unavailable, and you will be unable to log into any Zoom meetings requiring a login.

Several services that authenticate through a different system will be available. Those include: the WVU.Encrypted, WVU.Guest and WVU.Play wireless networks; Virtual Private Network; Office 365 services, including Teams and Outlook; SharePoint; and the 25 Live room reservation system.

It’s common to see an error message when trying to log in after a system update. If you have problems once this work has been completed, try clearing your web browser history, closing your browser and relaunching it. Rebooting your device will also clear cached pages.
