PREP application open through Oct. 1

The Pipeline Rural Education Program application is now open through Oct. 1, 2025. PREP is an initiative of the WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health, which introduces WVU undergraduate students to pathways into rural healthcare professions.

All rising undergraduate juniors and seniors in health-based majors are invited to apply.

Those majors include: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Child Development and Family Studies, Communication Sciences Disorders, Dental Hygiene, Engineering, Exercise Physiology, Forensics, Health Informatics & Information Management, Health & Well-Being, Human Nutrition & Foods, Immunology & Medical, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, Neuroscience, Nursing, Physics, Public Health, Pre-Med Biology, Psychology, Social Work.

Enrollment is limited to 15 individuals and participants will be chosen in the Fall 2025 semester following the application deadline of Oct. 1, 2025. Participants receive a $500 award upon completion of the program.
