OHSR welcomes new research assistant

Audrey Semel, MPH, has recently joined the WVU School of Public Health’s Office of Health Services Research team as a research assistant. Audrey will support current OHSR grant projects, most prominently WV Health Connection, through website and database management, helping to facilitate community partnerships and data collection and analysis. Audrey's background in community-based participatory research, qualitative research and advocacy will lend a valuable skill-set and perspective to this work.

Audrey comes to WVU from the University of Pittsburgh where she completed her Master of Public Health degree in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences. While a student, Audrey also worked in Dr. Elizabeth Miller's lab focusing on sexual violence prevention, under Dr. Mary Hawk as an evaluation assistant, and with the Pittsburgh Action Against Rape as a medical advocate. Audrey is currently located within the OHSR office and can be reached at audrey.semel@hsc.wvu.edu.
