Message from Co-Interim Deans Erik Carlton and Sarah Woodrum: SPH Open Forum

A message from Co-Interim Deans Erik Carlton and Sarah Woodrum, sent on Monday, May 15:  

Dear Colleagues:  

We recognize that the recent Faculty Senate meeting has raised great concern among many of you. We want to provide an opportunity to continue the conversation and, to that end, would like to establish recurring forums over the next few weeks to address ongoing changes as we receive updates from the university.  

The first one to take place will be this Friday, May 19, from 12-1 p.m. It will be held via Zoom to maximize participation. A calendar invitation from the SPH Calendar account will be forthcoming. 

Please know we are continuing to work with university leaders and awaiting additional guidance but, in the meantime, want to do our best to communicate with you openly and provide a space for continued discussion and Q&A.  

We understand the stress and angst the current situation may be causing many of you and are committed to keeping communication lines open throughout the process.
