June presentations set for oral healthcare professionals

Faculty will present as guest lecturers, WVU hosts guest speaker for Mesaros Symposium

June 3 – 5, 2022

Dr. Peter Ngan, chair of the department of orthodontics is keynote speaker at the first International Orthodontics Foundation Orthodontic Symposium. The three-day, online event focuses on innovation and transformation in orthodontics and advances in research and clinical practice. Dr. Matt Harper, maxillofacial prosthodontist and associate professor, will speak at Mayo Clinic’s Oral Health Fellows Association Dr. Kenji Ziyama Visiting Professor Series. Dr. Harper is both a WVU School of Dentistry alumnus and Mayo alumnus. He will present Realities of Integrating Maxillofacial Services.

Mesaros Endowed Lectureship

The School of Dentistry will host the Mesaros Symposium at Erickson Alumni Center as part of the Mesaros Endowed Lectureship. Dr. Aditya Tadinada will present Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Today and Tomorrow: A Review of Current Technologies and What the Future Holds. He is an associate dean and program director at The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Target audience for the symposium includes WVU School of Dentistry faculty, residents, and third- and fourth-year DDS and DH students. Other practicing dentists and dental hygienists are welcome to attend.
