Joint Commission survey underway
The Joint Commission is on site at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital this week to conduct a full survey for WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals, including a behavioral health survey.
The hospital accreditation survey team and the number of days they will be on campus is:
- ambulatory specialist (two days)
- generalist (four days)
- engineer (three days)
- administrator (four days)
- physician (four days)
- nurse (four days)
A generalist will survey the Behavioral Health Care Program for two days.
Any and all staff members may be asked questions by a surveyor. A survey checklist should help employees prepare for the visit.
The last full survey was in 2015 and WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals received accreditation for all services.
