In memory of Dr. Michael J. Meador - Associate Dean of Clinical Education and Patient Care

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Dr. Michael J. Meador. Below is a message shared by Dr. Anthony Tom Borgia upon learning of Dr. Meador's passing. (Obituary online.) Dr. Meador passed away June 24. He was 67 years old.

To the Entire School Community:

It is with a heavy heart and the deepest sense of sadness I must report to you that Dr. Michael J. Meador, Associate Dean for Clinics passed away yesterday afternoon peacefully at home with his wife at his side. He fought a great and courageous battle for over three months as we would have expected him to do, and faced his illness with the dignity that we have all known him for. His loss is incomprehensible to those of us who had the honor and privilege to have worked with him, students, faculty, staff and alumni alike. He is physically irreplaceable but his spirit will live on in all of us and in the excellence he established and fostered during his time on the faculty, both as a faculty member in Restorative Dentistry and then as Dean of Clinics. I ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers, along with his family at this difficult time for them and for us a community. We have all lost a friend and colleague but he will forever be in our hearts.
