Family Medicine faculty publish research on multimorbidity trends

Multimorbidity is becoming more commonplace and is on the rise in the United States, according to a study by the Department of Family Medicine’s Dana King, M.D., MS.; Jun Xiang, M.S., M.A., and Courtney Pilkerton, M.D., Ph.D. The study, published in the July edition of the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, determines and documents the prevalence of multi-morbidity from 1988 – 2014, surveying data from more than 57,000 individuals as was collected by The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
