Department of Otolaryngology welcomes Khabbaz and Jones

Both Eyad Khabbaz, M.D., and Garrett Jones, M.D., will join the West Virginia University School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery as assistant professors and general otolaryngologists.

Dr. Khabbaz has been in practice for over 23 years and has vast experience in all aspects of otolaryngology. Khabbaz received his medical degree from Damascus University, Damascus, Syria in 1996, and he completed his otolaryngology residency at Damascus University Hospitals in 2001.

Khabbaz has also completed several fellowships, including a rhinology, sinus and skull base surgery fellowship at Georgia Health Sciences University; an advanced otolaryngology, head and neck cancer clinical fellowship and a head and neck oncologic surgery fellowship at the University of Cincinnati; a pediatric otolaryngology clinical fellowship rotation at the University of Colorado; and an otology/neurotology fellowship at the Hough Ear Institute in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Jones is a graduate of WVU, where he received his M.D. degree in 2019. He completed his otolaryngology residency at WVU as well in June 2024.

Khabbaz will be seeing patients at Fairmont and Morgantown locations. Jones will be seeing patients at the WVU Medicine Uniontown Ear, Nose and Throat clinic.
