Dental student research featured at university and state levels
West Virginia University 2023 Van Liere Research Symposium
Ms. Savannah Lahey and Ms. Megan Merritt, two senior School of Dentistry Dental Hygiene students, presented their poster titled; “The Cariogenic Potential of Sugar Additives in Vaping E-liquid” at this years West Virginia University 2023 Van Liere Research Symposium on January 25, 2023.
Two graduate students in Dr. Jennifer Franko’s lab, Ms. Carly Amato-Menker and Ms. Quinn Hopen, presented their work at the West Virginia University 2023 Van Liere Research Symposium on January 26, 2023. Ms. Carly Amato-Menker’s poster presentation was titled; “The independent and collaborative influence of the sex chromosome complement and gut microbiome on humoral immunity” and Ms. Quinn Hopen’s poster presentation was titled; “Sex-specific anti-tumor immune responses to HPV-negative head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.”
