What are the health challenges in Monongalia and Marion counties?

WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital, and WVU Medicine Fairmont Medical Center have partnered with the West Virginia University School of Public Health to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) in these counties.

Community input is essential to determine the priorities that need to be addressed. 

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act requires 501(c)(3) tax-exempt (non-profit) hospitals to conduct a community health needs assessment and create an implementation plan at least every three years.
