Celebrating 40 Years of Service: Anna Nicoloudakis
Matt Turner, Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration at the Higher Education Policy Commission, presented Anna Nicoloudakis with an award at a ceremony for her 40 years of service.
Anna Nicoloudakis was recently recognized for 40 years of service at West Virginia University School of Nursing.
Nicoloudakis was first hired at WVU School of Nursing Charleston Division in July 1978 after graduating from Morris Harvey College with a degree in Secretarial Science.
After getting married in 1980, she moved to Washington, D.C. for two years and was employed as a benefits coordinator for Hecht’s department store. She relocated to Charleston in July 1982, and by chance, her original position as secretary to the Chairperson in the School of Nursing was available.
In 2007, Anna received the award of Employee of the Year, being the first employee from the Charleston Division to receive this honor. In December 2021, she received a Certificate of Appreciation for 40 years of service from Governor Jim Justice at the Cultural Center.
She is now the Office Administrator and attributes her longevity to her enjoyment of working with the nursing faculty and students.
Nicoloudakis has been married for 41 years, has two daughters, and four grandchildren.
