April 2019 faculty arrivals

Community Practice
Jana Atik, DPM joins the Department of Community Practice at Parkersburg Orthopedics and Camden Clark Medical Center. Dr. Atik was most recently at the Foot, Ankle, and Leg Vein Center in Boca Raton, FL.  She completed residency at St. Mary Mercy Hospital where she was also the chief resident. 

Robert Dushkoff, MD joins the Department of Community Practice at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital QuickCare. He is a graduate of the WVU School of Medicine and Family Medicine residency program.

Heart and Vascular Institute
Yasmin Hamirani, MD joins the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Department of Medicine as a non-invasive cardiologist. She is a former Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University in Springfield. Dr. Hamirani completed a fellowship in advanced cardiovascular imaging at the University of Virginia.

Medicine
Sunil Sharma, MD joins the Department of Medicine as Division Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Sharma has an accomplished career and comes to WVU from Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he held numerous leadership positions including Fellowship Director, Director of Research, Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program, and Chair of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care. Prior to joining Einstein he was faculty at Thomas Jefferson University, East Carolina University, University of South Carolina, and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Rebecca Reece, MD joins the Department of Medicine’s infectious diseases division. Dr. Reece earned her MD and completed internal medicine residency at WVU. She was a faculty physician at Brown University after completing clinical and research infectious diseases fellowships there.

Neurosurgery
Leslie Foster, DO joins the Department of Neurosurgery at WVU Medicine Brain and Spine in Hagerstown, MD and Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Dr. Foster was an interventional pain management physician at Parkway Neuroscience & Spine Institute, Cumberland, MD, prior to joining WVU Medicine.

Surgery
Kerri Woodberry, MD, MBA
joins the Department of Surgery as the Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Woodberry was formerly in practice at the Macourlyn Center for Plastic Surgery in Murfreesboro, TN. She was an assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at St. Louis University prior to that position. She completed an orthopaedic hand and microvascular fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in hand surgery.  She attended Ohio State University for plastic and reconstructive surgery residency.
