A Message from the WVU School of Nursing Regarding Academic Transformation
While WVU is undergoing Academic Transformation efforts, the WVU School of Nursing currently has not been identified for any type of review or evaluation. In fact, the School of Nursing’s undergraduate nursing program has been categorized as a State Priority Program.
Established in 1960, the WVU School of Nursing has a proven track record of success. We are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education; our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates regularly reach nearly 100% percent first-time pass rates on their NCLEX-RN licensure exam; and, our job placement rates also remain steady at nearly 100%.
Our undergraduate program has been ranked in the top 100 programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, and WVU School of Nursing has also been named one of the top 100 nursing schools in the country for a master’s degree.
Nursing is an educational path and profession that is vital for West Virginia and beyond, and the WVU School of Nursing is poised for success now and into the future.
