WVU Medicine welcomes gynecologic oncologist

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center announces the opening of the Gynecologic Oncology Center in Martinsburg and the addition of Neil B. Rosenshein, M.D., to the medical center staff.

Dr. Rosenshein, a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, received his medical degree from the University of Florida Medical School in Gainesville, Fla. He completed his residency in gynecology/obstetrics and fellowship in gynecologic oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

Rosenshein, who has practiced in the Baltimore area for many years, has devoted his medical career to advancing surgical techniques to treat female tract cancers, including ovarian, cervical, uterine, and endometrial. His surgical precision minimizes incision size and patient time in surgery. 

Known nationally for his lifetime commitment to gynecology and women’s cancers, Rosenshein has authored books, published articles, conducted medical research, and won numerous awards. By joining WVU Medicine in Martinsburg, he brings access to compassionate, community-based, tertiary cancer care to females in the Eastern Panhandle.
