WVU Medicine: CSAPP transitioning to RxGov

Providers must complete this transition to maintain access to WV PDMP data through NarxCare

Note: This announcement was originally posted in WVU Medicine Connect on 1/26/26. View the original announcement (WVU Medicine login required).

The State of West Virginia is transitioning prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) access from CSAPP to RxGov. Providers must complete this transition to maintain access to WV PDMP data through NarxCare.

What you need to do:

  • Watch for an email from RxGov sent to the email address associated with your CSAPP account.
  • Follow the instructions to set up your RxGov account and create a new password.

Why this matters:

  • An active RxGov account is required to continue accessing WV PDMP data in NarxCare.
  • Epic and NarxCare workflows are not changing, but access depends on completing this setup.

Timeline:

  • Early February: CSAPP and RxGov are both available.
  • Mid-February: CSAPP will be retired.
