WVU and MCHD hold Veterans Oral Health Day Nov. 11

Thanks to the Borgia Family Veteran’s Oral Health Care Fund, a free annual dental event for veterans will be in its fourth year in Morgantown this November.

The fund, developed in 2019, covers the cost of a free dental screening, x-rays as needed, cleaning, simple fillings and urgent care needs based on the determination of the provider.

Hosts of the Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 Veterans Oral Health Day include West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs and Monongalia County Health Department.

Limited appointments are available and veterans must call ahead to be scheduled.

Online donations can also be made by clicking here. Initial funds cover a screening and basic care for patients. As the fund grows, the goal is to be able to provide additional financial assistance beyond the first visit for veterans who may have complex oral health care needs.
