REMINDER: Water outage planned for Saturday, March 14

On Saturday, March 14 from 4 a.m. until 4 p.m. there will be a water outage at WVU Health Sciences as part of ongoing renovations to Dentistry clinical areas and to install additional isolation valves to the water system.

What buildings will be affected?

  • Health Sciences North (Vivarium V-rooms will not be affected)
  • Health Sciences South
  • Health Sciences Additions
  • Cancer Center (partially affected -- no domestic hot water during the outage, but cold water and toilets will be operational).

Erma Byrd is not expected to be affected. Additionally, fire sprinkler systems will not be affected.

What will happen?
During the outage water will not be available. All restroom facilities in HSC North, South and Addition buildings will not have water service during this outage.

How can I prepare?
All faculty, staff and students should make plans to avoid occupying the building during the outage. The buildings will be essentially closed, except in urgent or emergency situations.

Departments, clinics and specialty areas should plan for the outage and take appropriate actions to prepare for the situation.
