AAMC offering Mid-Career Women Faculty Professional Development Seminar

The Mid-Career Women Faculty Professional Development Seminar is an engaging and comprehensive program designed for women physicians and scientists who are at the associate professor level and hold leadership positions within their discipline, and who are considering advancing their leadership positions within their discipline, department, or institution.

This three and a half-day program provides an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed to support progress along the path to leadership in academic medicine.  The program consists of general sessions and concurrent workshops on various leadership topics, including:

  • Sponsorship
  • Persuasive Communication and Influence
  • Negotation
  • Funding the Academic Medicine
  • Strategic Career Planning

This year’s seminar will take place at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana, beginning Dec. 7.

The online application period will close on Tuesday, Sept.10, 2019, 11:59 pm, Eastern Time. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
