WVU School of Nursing Associate Dean joins Board of Directors at Southern West Virginia nonprofit
Dr. Angel Smothers, associate dean for community engagement at the WVU School of Nursing, recently joined the board of directors at Wellspring of Greenbrier, a nonprofit organization that has provided food, clothing, and other basic necessities to disadvantaged, unhoused, and transient populations in Southern West Virginia for over two decades.

Physician LEADS WV announces application available for third class
Physician LEADS West Virginia announces applications are available for its third annual class. LEADS is an annual program to assist in the growth of physicians as leaders. West Virginia State Medical Association, the state’s largest education and advocacy association for physicians, coordinates the program and is one of its sponsors.

New HSC employees will need to complete annual HIPAA training in Infosec IQ
As of Monday, Nov. 11, all new employees at WVU Health Sciences Center will automatically be enrolled in HIPAA training that must be completed in Infosec IQ rather than SOLE.
