Important Accessibility Information for Faculty

WVU’s Office of Accessibility Services' new database Student Accommodation Management for Mountaineers (SAMM) is now available online, providing faculty members with easier access to information about the disability accommodations authorized in their classes.

Public Health represented at national level for medical education

The West Virginia University School of Public Health now has significant input at the national level for graduate medical education. Occupational Medicine Assistant Professor Dr. Jennifer Lultschik and second year resident Dr. Rasika Thondukolam have been appointed to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Occupational Medicine Milestones 2.0 Work Group.

KB's Chemo Care Kits donated for patients

On October 31, the WVU Cancer Institute received a generous donation of 120 chemo care kits dropped off by Robert Colabianchi and his mom Mary Colabianchi. He and his business partner Keeley Humberson, are the founders of KBs Chemo Care Kits.

WVU Rural Health Interest Group Rural Oasis Food Drive 2019

The WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health's Rural Health Interest Group will be collecting nonperishable and toiletry items for the 2019 RHIG Service Learning Project: Rural Oasis Food Drive to support the food banks in Clay County and Mullens.

WVU Cancer Institute Annual Meeting and Hardesty Lecture

The WVU Cancer Institute (WVUCI) is sponsoring the second Annual WVUCI Scientific Meeting on Nov. 22, 2019, at the Erickson Alumni Center. This is a half-day event with scientific sessions that include outside speakers, as well as reports from selected WVUCI faculty members highlighting their basic, clinical and population research. 

Retirement open house honors Valerie Lemasters

WVU Health Sciences will celebrate Valerie Lemasters’ 49-plus years of service at a retirement open house Monday, Dec. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. The celebration will be held in the lobby of the Office of Research and Graduate Education, located on the ground floor of the Erma Byrd Biomedical Research Center.
