WVU in the News: Rudisill discusses traffic safety policies with Arizona station
Epidemiologist and WVU faculty member Toni Rudisill, PhD, studies transportation safety and health policy. She recently spoke with Phoenix-based KJZZ's "The Show" about the efficacy of texting-while-driving laws. Arizona is one of three states without a texting-while-driving ban. Listen to the interview online. Rudisill is a research assistant professor in the School of Public Health's Department of Epidemiology.
Nominate individuals who advance women’s concerns for distinguished Buswell Award
The Council for Women's Concerns is accepting nominations for the Mary Catherine Buswell Award. This accolade, established in 1978, honors a person who has shown a dedication to the advancement of women. The award winner will receive $500 for travel, supplies, salary supplement or any other use commensurate with WVU policies. Nominations must be submitted by March 1.
WVU Dentistry offers free children’s dental exams
Children ages one to 17 can receive free exams, any necessary X-rays and fluoride treatments on Friday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in Morgantown at the West Virginia University Pediatric Dentistry Clinic as part of WVU Dental Care’s National Children’s Dental Health Month celebrations.
