Students invited to School of Public Health's "Figure It Out Friday" on April 21
“Figure It Out Friday” is a recurring series of 30-60-minute Zoom conversations for public health students at West Virginia University. This month's event on April 21 will feature a presentation from WVU School of Public Health alum, Kearnan Kulow. Kulow is currently working as an industrial hygienist at Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC).
SAPH meeting scheduled for April 18
The Student Association of Public Health (SAPH)'s April meeting will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, April 18 from 6-7 p.m. SAPH is a student-run organization comprised of current students, faculty and staff from the School of Public Health who are dedicated to promoting public health issues throughout WVU and the local community. Registration is required in order to attend.

Public Health assistant professor recognized nationally for contributions to health education
Heather Henderson, EdD, assistant professor of Health Policy, Management & Leadership and Director of Accreditation, Planning & Evaluation for the West Virginia University School of Public Health, has been named the 2022 recipient of the Ann E. Nolte Writing Award by the Foundation for the Advancement of Health Education's.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to join a Campus Conversation at 11 a.m. on Thursday (March 30) focused on new budget information following President Gee’s State of the University address this week in which he outlined the need for a strategic repositioning to better serve the future growth and stability of the University.
Celebrate hope at annual Relay for Life of Mon County and WVU
Relay for Life of Mon County and West Virginia University invites the campus and local community to get involved in this year’s event on Friday, April 14, from 6 p.m. – midnight at the WVU Shell Building. The annual event that raises money for the American Cancer Society is a night full of music, games and prizes for all participants.
