25 Years of Emergency Medicine

On June 17, 2017, the Department of Emergency Medicine celebrated its 25th anniversary at the WVU Art Museum with special recognition given to those who helped establish the department in 1992.

NIOSH and WVU Occupational Medicine to host celebration and poster session

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and West Virginia University is hosting "Occupational Safety and Health: Recognizing Accomplishments and Planning for the Future" to celebrate 50 Years of Occupational Respiratory Disease Research at NIOSH and 25 Years of Occupational Medicine Residency at WVU. They are currently accepting poster abstracts for consideration and encourage students and trainees to submit.

Town hall to focus on critical care and trauma

Critical care and trauma specialist Alison Wilson, MD, will be the special guest at an open forum for Health Sciences and WVU Medicine faculty, staff, and students at noon on Tuesday in the Okey Patteson Auditorium of the WVU Health Sciences Center.

Former ENT chair Carl Cather, M.D. remembered

Former two-year graduate of the School of Medicine and founding ENT department chair, Carl H. Cather Jr., M.D., passed away on July 3, 2017, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
