WVU is accepting nominations for University’s highest service honor – Order of Vandalia
The University is accepting nominations for its highest service honor – the Order of Vandalia. The award is given each year to persons who have provided extraordinary service to the University over many years and will be presented during the induction ceremony scheduled for June 2, 2018.
August 2017 faculty arrivals
ANESTHESIOLOGY Antonio Cassara, MD joins the Department of Anesthesiology’s pediatric service. He was formerly a faculty member at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where he also completed pediatric anesthesia fellowship. He did his anesthesiology residency at West Penn Hospital.

WVU Cancer Institute doubling in size to meet needs in the state
The WVU Cancer Institute has undertaken a massive expansion effort to meet the demand for cancer services in West Virginia. The growth includes recruiting 38 new cancer specialists by 2020 as well as increasing space for patient care.
Parking at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital to be affected by football games
Patient and visitor parking at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, including WVU Medicine Children’s, the Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, and the Ruby Memorial Emergency Department, will be altered six times during the upcoming months for WVU Football games at Milan Puskar Stadium.
