Visiting speaker to discuss unique practice of physical therapy within an inpatient addiction treatment center
The WVU Division of Physical Therapy is hosting Bill Hanlon DPT, OCS, for a talk entitled "A New Niche Practice? An Emerging Role for PT in Addiction Recovery" on Monday. October 9 at 3:00 p.m. in Room G-119A/B of the Health Sciences Center.
Art exhibit explores artist’s fight with cancer
West Virginia University Libraries will host a reception on Tuesday, October 10, at 5 p.m. in the Health Sciences Pylons Area to celebrate the opening of Bodies of Truth: An Artist’s Creative Exploration through Cancer, an exhibition of artwork by Lacie Wallace.

WVU School of Medicine names Ferrari as 2017 Distinguished Alumnus
A WVU professor and physician for 31 years, Norman D. Ferrari III, M.D., has been named as the 2017 West Virginia University School of Medicine Distinguished Alumnus. He will be honored by his friends and colleagues at the School’s Alumni Weekend banquet on October 13.
WVU Medicine and Rockefeller family announce new neuroscience institute
Neuroscientist Ali Rezai, MD, has been appointed to lead the comprehensive and integrated clinical and research programs in the neurosciences at West Virginia University and WVU Medicine. He will do so at the newly formed West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute.
