Endowment gift benefits orthodontic residents at WVU School of Dentistry
Future orthodontists training at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry will benefit from an alumnus’s endowment gift to aid the Department of Orthodontics.The namesake endowment established by Dr. David C. Dental school committees collaborate for DEI tour and art display
Members of the dental school’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee and the committee for wellness hosted an art display showcasing cultures, values and beliefs represented at the dental school. The committees also organized students and faculty of varying backgrounds to host tours and roundtable discussions for guests.
Veterans can request an appointment for Veteran Oral Health Day
A limited number of appointments will be available at Veteran Oral Health Day on Friday, November 12, 2021. Veterans and active National Guard and Reserve members will receive free dental screenings, x-rays as necessary, cleaning, simple fillings and other urgent care needs based on the determination of the faculty and student dental and dental hygiene providers.

Risk factors for developing oral cancer include using tobacco, drinking alcohol and contracting human papillomavirus.
