Sharing the love: Nursing students create more than 500 Valentine’s cards for WVU Medicine Children’s patients, nursing home residents
West Virginia University School of Nursing students are working to make Valentine’s Day a little brighter for WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital patients and residents at nursing homes. With the combined creative efforts of Morgantown Fast-Track nursing students, Beckley Campus Student Nurses Association (SNA) and Morgantown SNA, more than 500 Valentine’s cards will be delivered Feb. 14.
Demo sessions announced for WVU’s laboratory chemical purchasing and inventory system
Following a successful pilot of the platform at Health Sciences, WVU is expanding Research Materials Management to all faculty and staff on the Morgantown campus beginning Monday, Feb. 21. RMM is part of efforts to enhance laboratory operations for faculty and staff who purchase and/or inventory chemicals.
Save the date for Employee Appreciation Day
Employee Appreciation Day is Friday, March 4, and to celebrate, the WVU STAR Team is planning three “Appreciation Stations” on the Morgantown campus for WVU employees to destress, relax and enjoy.
WVU reducing on-campus COVID-19 testing to three days a week for remainder of February
Due to current decreased demand for COVID-19 testing, West Virginia University and the Monongalia County Health Department are reducing the community testing schedule at the WVU Student Recreation Center to three days a week effective Monday, Feb. 14.
Under the Dome: February 11, 2022 Edition
Under the Dome delivers a review of the issues being considered by the West Virginia Legislature. It provides information on matters that affect WVU and higher education, as well as other hot topics being addressed. This edition provides an update on the first four weeks of the regular legislative session, as the Legislature approaches the halfway mark of their 60-day work. More than 1,800 bills have already been introduced for debate.
