The Sleeth Family Medicine facility at the University Town Center was recently recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient-Centered Medical Home.
WVU Dentistry offers free children’s dental exams
Children ages one to 17 can receive free exams, any necessary X-rays and fluoride treatments on Friday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in Morgantown at the West Virginia University Pediatric Dentistry Clinic as part of WVU Dental Care’s National Children’s Dental Health Month celebrations.
Jackson General Hospital to join the West Virginia University Health System
Jackson General Hospital in Ripley has signed a letter of intent to join the West Virginia University Health System. WVU Hospitals will file a Certificate of Need (CON) application with the West Virginia Health Care Authority seeking approval to acquire the hospital.

Community Practice John McElroy, MD, joins the Department of Community Practice as an orthopedic surgeon with Parkersburg Orthopedic Associates. Dr. McElroy earned his medical degree at Marshall University, and completed orthopedic surgery residency at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus.
Registration open for certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program
