Art in the Libraries seeking submission for craftwork exhibit

The WVU Art in the Libraries committee, in collaboration with the Health Sciences Center, is seeking visual artists working in the healthcare field at WVU and WVU Medicine to participate in an exhibition in the fall of 2019 in the Health Sciences Library.

Department of Neuroscience raising money for student outreach program

The Department of Neuroscience is raising money for its Feed Our Brains campaign, which aims to pay off overdue student lunch balances at elementary and middle schools in greater Monongalia County that are visited as part of their student outreach program. Several neuroscience related games and activities are held at each school to help the students learn about the brain and hopefully create a love for science.

Great Lakes Breast Cancer Research Symposium: Save the Date

The Great Lakes Breast Cancer Research Symposium (GLBCRS) will highlight ongoing basic, translational, clinical and population studies addressing the biological mechanisms, management and prevention of breast cancer. Researchers from participating institutions will share their exciting work with a goal to develop crossinstitutional collaborations.

Though current research showing mental health and physical health affect each other in many ways has come a long way, there is still more progress that needs to be made to better understand these two closely connected areas of overall health. Dr. John Campo joins us on "Take Care" to discuss. He's the chief behavioral wellness officer in the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and assistant dean for behavioral health professor at West Virginia University School of Medicine.
